About
Sagres Natura is a family-run surf camp, school and shop at the south-western tip of Portugal, founded by Sara, Luis and Celso. The camp is a traditional Portuguese house a few minutes' walk from the town centre and the beaches of Sagres, with a freshly redesigned living room, a big fully equipped kitchen, a TV lounge, a billiard table, swings, and a spacious tropical garden with a ping pong table, sunbeds, BBQ and dining area. Rooms are shared rooms for 4, double rooms, twin rooms and a single room; bed linen and towels are provided and the house is cleaned every day. The camp is open from March to mid-December.

Surf
Sagres has two coasts, so there is almost always a wave for your level: the closest beaches (Tonel, Mareta, Beliche) are about 5 minutes away and more breaks are 10 to 30 minutes by car. The camp's surf school (certified, first-aid-trained instructors) runs lessons of about 3 hours a day in small groups divided by level, with surfboard and wetsuit and daily transport to the best beach. Surf rentals and a surf shop are on site. Packages: 7 nights with 5 surf lessons from €470 per person in the low season (shared room), per the camp's price list.

Community
A social, family-run house: guests share the kitchen, garden and living room, and the camp organises weekly BBQ or burger nights, trips to watch the sunset, local live music and a fitness class on Thursdays. Yoga sessions run Monday to Friday. Breakfast (bread, ham, cheese, eggs, pancakes, cereals, fruit, yogurt, vegetarian options and homemade cake) is served from about 8:00 in the breakfast room in the packages.

Your host
Sara
Sara was born and raised in Sagres and oversees the camp. After studying tourism and animation in the Natural Park she opened the surf school in 2003 with Luis and Celso and added the surf camp and shop. In 2019 she took the surf instructor course. The team speaks Portuguese, English, Spanish, French and German.
How to get here
Sagres Natura Surf Camp is at Rua Mestre António Galhardo, 8650-384 Sagres, a few minutes' walk from the town centre. The camp can help organise airport transfers; ask when you book.
